Pasteles
 
This is a picture of a traditional food that Puerto Rican usually eat between Thanksgiving, and New Years. It is called Pasteles. We usually eat this over Rice and Pigeon Peas ( Arroz con Gandules). It is made out of green bananas stuffed with meat inside and olives and usually wrapped in green banans leaves as well as wax paper and tied to keep in place. You bring to a boil for about 45 min then serve with your rice. It tastes amazing with some ketchup over it :)
