Penne alla Vodka-my version, Penne in pink sauce with a dash of vodka😋

This recipe is a favorite of my entire family, including family/friend parties. Cooking is my way of showing love to family and friends. When I'm in the mood to cook I can't help but to make an entire full course meal. My very good friend Tony taught me how to cook this meal many years ago with homemade gravy/sauce. I have never opened a jar of sauce since! I worked in his pizzeria/restaurant with him and learned many new recipes that are delicious. I also taught him how to make a few things.

Ingredients:
1-pound of cooked penne
3 cloves of garlic
1 can of tomato sauce cooked and flavored with your choice of seasoning
1/4 cup of vodka
1/2 cup of heavy cream room temperature
1/4 of grated cheese(pecorino romano
4 tablespoons of butter
extra cheese for topping, preferably pecorino romano
Fresh basil for topping

Directions:

Cook pasta and put to the side. Have sauce cooking in a separate pan and keep warm. in a separate pan sauce oil and garlic on low heat. Add 4 tablespoons of butter and continue to cook on low heat for about 15 minutes. turn up heat a  little and throw vodka in for about 10 minutes to cook out and boil then throw cream in and let boil. Now you can mix cheese in and turn down heat to let simmer. Mix some red sauce in the cream sauce until it achieves the color you enjoy. Finally mix in pasta and save with fresh basil and enjoy!
